UNESCO Bike Tour
A great tour that starts in the Veneto Dolomites and leads to the sea through the prosecco hills and the Euganean Hills: a journey to discover the UNESCO heritage of the provinces of Belluno, Treviso, Vicenza, Padua and Venice to the rhythm of ever-changing landscapes, flavors and food and wine excellence, along the waters of the rivers and the Venetian lagoon.
A total of 360 km of journey, for a never difficult route of 60km a day in 6 stops.
Saturday individual arrival in Selva di Cadore and overnight stay
The departure is on Sunday from Selva di Cadore (BL).
Through ancient roads and spectacular Dolomite passes, with some dirt-tracked stretches and mainly on paved roads, you reach the Cortina d’Ampezzo basin, and then close the first stop in San Vito di Cadore.
On Monday, we will travel along the beautiful Dolomites cycle path on the grounds of the old narrow-gauge railway Calalzo-Cortina, to admire the splendid walls of Sorapiss, Antelao, Marmarole, up to the intermediate stage of Lagole on the shores of Lake Centro Cadore. From here, we will take the Monaco-Venice cycle path that will lead us through the valley of the Piave river to Belluno and then again on the shores of a lake, in Farra d’Alpago: Lake Santa Croce.
On Tuesday, we will descend into the province of Treviso along the route of the old Alemagna road through the Fadalto saddle up to Vittorio Veneto and then go around south on the Col Visentin along the path that leads to the Revine lakes. Here, in the locality of Tarzo, the Street of our Prosecco begins: a path between the hills and the vineyards of Cison di Valmarino, Miane and Valdobbiadene which includes a stop for a tasting and in addition to the inevitable visit to the Osteria Senz’Oste ..
On Wednesday we will descend to the plains to Castelfranco Veneto, to admire its splendid ramparts and the characteristic medieval town center.
Thursday starts with the cycle path of the Muson dei Sassi which, along the homonymous stream, will lead us gently to Padua. Finally, along the Battaglia river cycle path we will arrive in the splendid area of the Euganean Hills, full of mountain bike and cycle tourism routes. We will sleep in Monselice, a small and elegant town at the foot of Mount Ricco.
On Friday, a flat route awaits us, mainly on asphalt and low-traffic roads: we will arrive in Chioggia along the roads that flank the Bacchiglione and Roncajette rivers. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to make restful stops in Correzzola and at the Natural Oasis of Cà di Mezzo.
Arrival in Chioggia is expected around 16.00.
From this moment on you will be free to manage your holiday, up to your transfer to Selva di Cadore, scheduled for Sunday at 11.00 from the Hotel in Chioggia.
